Terms of Service

These terms set out how we work together. Your written quote confirms the specific details of each project.

About these terms

Unhype Studio services are provided by Jan Elopre, a UK sole trader trading as Elopre Digital Studios. We work with businesses and individual consumers. If your accepted quote differs from these terms, the quote takes priority. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights.

Quotes and pricing

Prices on our website are indicative starting points. Before work begins we agree a written quote setting out deliverables, exclusions, pages, content support, revisions, timeline, third-party costs, payment milestones and handover. Accepted quotes are honoured on their terms. We are not VAT registered, so no VAT is added to our prices.

Payments

Website projects are paid 50% upfront and 50% before final handover. Each invoice states its due date. Care plans are invoiced monthly and paid by bank transfer. Deposits are not automatically non-refundable; refunds follow the cancellation section below and the law.

Your responsibilities and content

You agree to provide content, images, access and feedback in good time, and to check that your business facts, prices, credentials, testimonials and claims are accurate. You confirm you have the right to use anything you supply. Content support depends on your package: basic copy refinement for Essential, more substantial copywriting across agreed pages for Business, and as set out in your proposal for Tailored projects.

Revisions

Essential and Business include two revision rounds; Tailored allowances are set in your proposal. A round is one consolidated set of reasonable changes within the agreed scope. New pages, new functionality, substantial redesigns and out-of-scope copywriting need written approval and may be quoted separately.

Timelines and delays

Delays in content, approvals, access or payment can move agreed dates; we will confirm any revised dates in writing. If we cause a material delay, we will tell you promptly and agree a reasonable revised date. Larger projects have milestones set out in the proposal.

Third-party costs and domains

Domains, hosting, paid plugins, fonts, stock assets and other external services are not included unless stated in your quote, and are subject to their providers' own terms. You own and control your domain; we will never withhold it.

Ownership

You keep your brand, the content you supply and assets you own. Once paid in full, you receive the rights to the agreed custom deliverables set out in your contract. We keep our pre-existing code, reusable components, templates, tools and know-how, and give you the licence needed to use any of them included in your website. Third-party assets remain under their own licences. Your quote states which files, accounts, documentation and handover support are included. We only show your project in our portfolio with your separate written permission.

Cancellation by consumers

If you are a consumer and agree a contract with us at a distance (for example by email or online), you normally have 14 days to cancel without giving a reason. We will not start work during that period unless you expressly ask us to in writing and acknowledge that you will lose the right to cancel once the work is fully completed. If you cancel after asking us to start, you pay a proportionate amount for work done up to the time you tell us, and we refund the rest within 14 days.

Cancellation and termination of projects

Either party may end a project by written notice. You pay for work reasonably completed and costs committed up to that point; any balance of payments made is refunded. We will explain any amount due in writing.

Defects

For 30 days after handover we will investigate and fix, within a reasonable time, reproducible defects that stop the website meeting the agreed specification. New features, redesigns, changes you make and third-party failures are not included. Your statutory rights continue after this period.

Free homepage previews

A free preview is a limited, non-production homepage concept offered at our discretion. It is not a complete website and creates no obligation to buy. Preview designs may not be used without an agreed project.

Founding-client rates

Introductory founding-client rates have no fixed number of places. They may be withdrawn with notice, and quotes already accepted are honoured. They are never conditional on a review or testimonial.

Website care plans

Care plans cover the routine work described in your plan. Unused time does not roll over unless agreed. New pages, redesigns, complex changes and integrations are quoted separately. Response targets, where stated, are not guaranteed resolution times.

You can cancel Care or Care+ at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid billing period, with no cancellation fee. When a plan ends, support stops and we will explain what happens to any hosting, backups, files and data we manage, and help you move them.

If an invoice is overdue we send a reminder, and another around day seven. After 14 days past the due date we may pause non-essential support, with written notice first, and resume within a reasonable time once payment clears. We will never take your website down, interfere with your domain, delete files or lock you out of your accounts over an overdue or disputed invoice.

Referral programme

The referral programme is not yet live and no referrals can currently be submitted or rewards earned. Full rules will be published here before it launches.

Liability

We take care to deliver work to a professional standard, but we cannot guarantee specific sales, enquiries or search rankings. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, or your statutory rights as a consumer.

Complaints

If something isn't right, email us and we will aim to acknowledge you within three business days and try to resolve it informally. If it remains unresolved we will respond in writing and may suggest mediation. Your statutory rights are unaffected.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you are a consumer living elsewhere in the UK, you may also bring proceedings in your local courts.
